The Sacramento Business Journal’s list of employers includes more than 380 businesses, nonprofits and government organizations that collectively employ more than 360,000 people locally — and millions more across the nation and world. Think of it as a census of the entities that power the workforce in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado and Yolo counties. This week's List continues a shift in our research methodology and philosophy, one that emphasizes more data and context for readers while better coordinating the resources available to us and our 40-plus sister publications under the American City Business Journals flag.
