About
Born and raised in Templeton, CA, Jake Rodrigues brings a rare blend of local insight, hands-on experience, and honest guidance to every transaction. With a background in construction, appraisal, and real estate sales, Jake has helped more than 250 clients navigate everything from first-time home purchases to luxury vineyard estates. His mission is simple: work hard, work smart, and treat every client with the respect they deserve.
Early Life & Community Roots:
Jake was born and raised in Templeton, CA—a small, tight-knit rural community where values like hard work, integrity, and community involvement were ingrained early on. For years, through the late ‘80s and early ‘90s he observed his hometown and nearby towns of Paso Robles and Atascadero transform into a booming agricultural and entrepreneurial hub, sparking an early appreciation for development and opportunity.
Education & Career Beginnings:
After high school, Jake pursued an early education career and with a background in music he thought how cool it would be to teach kids music appreciation and maybe seen School of Rock too many times. Ultimately, a different calling took hold of him in his early 20’s that stemmed from a family rooted in construction and finance, he transitioned into Real Estate Appraising. That path, combined with years of hands-on experience in construction and sales, laid the groundwork for a standout career in real estate sales.
Real Estate Journey:
Licensed as an appraiser in 2006 and a real estate agent in 2009, Jake has since helped clients buy and sell more than 250 homes and appraised thousands of properties. His portfolio includes everything from vineyard estates and ranches to first-time home purchases, raw land development, investment properties, and flip opportunities. His construction background, appraisal expertise, and market insight allows him to provide well-rounded guidance tailored to each client’s unique goals.
Designations & Achievements:
Jake holds the Graduate of Realtor Institute (GRI) designation, an achievement earned by fewer than 7% of agents nationwide. He has consistently achieved Platinum-Level sales status both individually and as a team, is actively serving as a Local Director for the Paso Robles Association of REALTORS® and has received recognition for his community involvements, and multiple non-profits throughout the year with donations and events.
Client Philosophy:
Jake believes real estate is about relationships, not just results. His approach is rooted in honesty, clear communication, and a strong sense of purpose in every transaction. His ideal clients are those who value and appreciate his honest opinions, energy and authenticity.
Services & Expertise:
For buyers, Jake offers expert market analysis, sharp negotiation skills, and clear transaction coordination from offer to closing. For sellers, he leads with strategy, focusing on thorough prelisting evaluations, realistic pricing analysis backed by 20+ years of appraisal experience, and marketing plans designed to position properties at their best. Jake also isn’t afraid to roll up his sleeves to benefit any property and partners with trusted vendors to enhance properties prior to listing, ensuring maximum appeal potential, thus increasing value and profitability for his sellers.
Real Estate Highlights:
From helping clients win in multiple-offer scenarios to securing vineyard estates in competitive markets, Jake brings creativity and precision to every transaction. A favorite memory includes helping a family member win the bid on a competitive winery for sale, just 5 years later is one of the region's most premium and state-of-the-art winery operations. He is also known for being very patient and understanding whether first-time buyers or representing a family trust who is selling their childhood home. As these experiences are never the same, they require trust and compassion, experienced negotiations and client advocacy.
Community Involvement:
Jake is deeply involved in the Central Coast community. He serves as Vice President of the Templeton Youth Football League, supports organizations like Cancer Support Community and ECHO, and frequently supports local non-profits. He also plays and writes music and helps organize community events and charitable initiatives.
Life Outside of Real Estate:
On weekends, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife Tiffany and their two kids, Liam and Harper. Whether it’s hanging with friends on Friday night, or working on the tractor early Saturday morning on their 20-acre property, or playing music with his band on Sundays, he finds balance in family, joy music, and peace from the outdoors. During the summer, much of his time is dedicated to coaching and giving back to the community that shaped him into giving back to that same community today.
