Denice Williams experienced a dynamic upbringing, relocating between Iowa and Louisiana before her family finally settled in Napa, California. Napa quickly became the place Denice considers home, shaping her early years and laying the foundation for a deep appreciation of the renowned local culture.
Professional Journey and Wine Expertise:
After pursuing her education at Shasta College and Napa Community College, Denice immersed herself in the local wine industry. This experience fostered a profound love for the art of winemaking, transforming Denice into an enthusiastic and knowledgeable wine aficionado. Her dedication led to a successful tenure as the Event Coordinator and Wine Club Manager for Freemark Abbey Winery. In 1999, Denice married and relocated to Auburn, California, settling in her husband's hometown.
Community Dedication and Family Life:
Following the birth of her son a year later, Denice transitioned to roles that beautifully balanced family and professional life. While working part-time as a Transaction Coordinator, Denice dedicated nine highly rewarding years to Newcastle Elementary, serving as PTC President, Art Docent, and community fundraiser. This tireless commitment culminated in being proudly voted Parent of the Year by the Newcastle staff in 2013. Today, Denice continues her impactful community involvement by serving on the Board of Directors for Almost Free to All, Inc., a non-profit organization that runs the Branches at the Carnegie program. Taking an active leadership role, she heads both the fundraising and volunteer committees and also lends her time and energy to the Garden Beautification committee.
